The free-flow system of CS operates up to 160 km/h with the same rate of transactional success as a ETC lane "stop & go" functioning to 2 km/h.

The free-flow gantry of CS includes three subsystems providing the "toll function":
• the gantry "beacons"
• the Video Enforcement System (VES)
• the laser classification

These three components are integrated in a modular way to gantry management software. So whatever the client need is, CS is able to answer to it with an adapted solution.

If the user is carrying a Tag, it will transmit to the Armonhy beacons information making it possible to carry out and authenticate the toll transactions. If it is not the case, the gantry CS carries out toll video (video tolling). In both cases the "class" of the vehicle is determined by the lasers scanning the profile of the vehicles.

In addition the transactions (ETC or video-tolling) are centralized by a Back Office protected to ensure the integrity of the final payments to the operator of the highway like all the necessary functions to the operation of the concession.

Thanks to its total control of the protocols DSRC, GSS A1, PISTA, CESARE,… ETC, and to its know-how of large complex systems that CS is today the only French provider of free-flow gantries, and is able to integrate these gantries in a reliable global system, and by being in the top 4 in the world for this type of solution.

Not neglecting the developments and diversifications, but respecting the national and international rules, directives and recommendations, and in order to be always innovating, CS invests in research & development (poles of competitiveness, national and international projects, …) in the satellite toll fields, associating technologies like GNSS (GPS-EGNOS-GALILEO), GSM-GPRS, Wi-Fi, Wimax,…
