Police Department PEGASE (Event and Business Management & Team Security), part of the "Police Station of the Future" project conducted by the French National Police.
The project involves designing, integrating and deploying command centers in every Public Security headquarters in each administrative district, both in France and overseas. Using a high-performance IT system, these Information and Command Centers (C.I.C.) aim to make available to the French national police operating units the necessary means to improve service to the public while tightening security for police officers.
The main objectives are to improve: • Processing of emergency calls, focusing on reduced waiting time for number 17 calls, pinpointing the call's origin and passing on non-urgent calls as best possible;
• Processing of police interventions by reducing the time needed for police to reach the scene, and enhancing police officers' security through geo-localization of teams;
• Police presence on the ground by optimizing team distribution.

Fire Department In Summer 2003, the South of France was facing the longer period of hot weather without rain. Consequently, the forest fire was a major risk. Unfortunately, Esterel, a beautiful forest near the Mediterranean Sea, was enduring a huge fire. For the first time, the local Fire Department used a new IS called PAREFEU (Firewall) build by CS with several partners such as Universities, Météo-France, .. to manage the situation. The system provides planning capabilities, real time mission control and lessons learned support. An airborne asset is used to collect and analyse the fire situation and the Common Operational Picture is delivered to all Command and Control Centres.
