CS finalises the cession of its CS IT infrastructure division to British Telecommunications

CS Communication & Systèmes announced today the cession of its IT infrastructure division to British Telecommunications plc, one of the world's leading providers of communications and IT solutions. This operation finalisation occurs according to the set calendar, after obtaining all necessary merger and regulatory clearances. CS Group reminds it has received from British Telecommunications, on August 3, a binding offer to acquire its IT Infrastructure division, for up to € 60 million. The division employs approximately 1,400 people and made € 137.7 million revenue in 2006. When he signed, Eric Blanc-Garin, Chief Executive Officer of CS, declared: "I am very satisfied with the conclusion of this operation with BT and with the constructive discussions we had all along these negotiations. Our customers will be able to continue benefiting from quality services and take advantage of BT's worldwide network. Besides, I wish the commercial partnership we initialised would be fructuous, in France, as well as in Europe and especially in England". This cession allows CS to concentrate all its managerial, commercial, technical and financial means on its conception, integration and operation of mission critical systems activities in order to accelerate its development, including external growth, on its strategic segments of Defense and Security, Aerospace, Energy and Intelligent Transport.
