CS has been chosen for the realization of the Management and Supervision Centre for the RIFAN step 2 program

The RIFAN 2 program (IP network for the naval action force) was recently awarded to EADS Defence & Security, the DCNS and Rohde & Schwarz. In this context, CS has been chosen for the design and implementation of the Centre for the management and supervision of the IP Information and Communication System which will provide a full intranet capability between surface vessels, submarines and aircrafts (in exercise or on mission in an aeronaval force).

This € 15 million contract is for the design of a centralised management and supervision system which guarantees the smooth running and optimal quality of service of the intranet of aeronaval forces. CS will implement a management centre for the main network as well as a back-up site with a highly secured and redundant architecture so as to insure system security and availability by covering all levels of information sensitivity, from non-secured to NATO secret.

Relying on its expertise of mission critical systems and highly secured architectures, CS has offered to set up its own solution VIGILO, the first Open Source Solution designed to monitor large environments (networks and servers) through a fully scalable and modular architecture. VIGILO integrates all monitoring needs (supervision, metrology graphs, cartography and events correlation…) and has functionalities such as centralized configuration tools and notifications dashboard. VIGILO will be installed on land facilities as well as on board of all National Marine vessels which have RIFAN 2.

« CS is proud to be part of such an important project which is included in the master plan of the Marine's Information and Combat System. This success confirms the relevance of the technologies that our teams have implemented in order to insure the performance and interoperability of mission critical systems. CS confirms its presence in the field of IP based secured military network management.», declares Eric Blanc-Garin, CEO of CS.
